Why not try:
Half day in the Berard Valley Setting off from from Le Buet, Vallorcine (the name comes from Val d’Ours or ‘valley of the bears’) we follow a track along the river with snow covered boulders and magnificent icicles then up via woodland and clearings to mountain hamlets with magnificent views. Height gain approximately 200m.
Full day to the Loriaz Alpage the high alpine meadows or alpages make excellent snowshoe destinations and we see the landscape from a completely different perspective and a visit to the Chalets de Loriaz offers some of the most stunning views of the Mont Blanc range. Height gain approximately 690m.
Full day Alpine Summits For the adventurous Mont Arpille just over the Swiss border is a snowshoe classic involving climbs and traverses to a summit with broad ridges and incredible 360° views into France and Switzerland. Height gain approximately 765m.
From 42.50€ per person half day and 60€ per person full day, based on a group of four [includes loan of snowshoes and all safety equipment].
Snowshoe walks can be enjoyed by anyone who lives a normal healthy lifestyle that includes regular aerobic exercise. The trips do vary in difficulty but you don't have to be super fit to enjoy many of them. The better your fitness, the more energy you will have to enjoy the views. We grade our tours Moderate to Tough.
To get the most out of your snowshoeing experience I've compiled a list of the other items you'll need to keep you comfortable and best able to enjoy your wilderness experience.
